Alumni from the four area high schools got together at Putney Park show their support for students, and host a grilling competition.
They collected school supplies for area elementary schools.
Sherrie Hubbard is a 1994 Alumni, and the 2015-2016 Dougherty County School System teacher of the year.
And says its important to show support for education.
“It gives us the opportunity to give back to our learning community that we grew up in and also to represent our high schools and do a nice friendly grill off competition," says Sherrie Hubbard.
She says they plan to hand out the school supplies during the first week of class.
