Burglar in custody, another sought after pharmacy break-in

MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - A suspected burglar is in custody after an early-morning break-in at a pharmacy. Police say another is still on the loose.

It happened early around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Crystal Pharmacy on South Main Street.

Investigators said two burglars smashed through the door and left a mess.

Owner Scotty Jarvis is thankful that at least one suspect has been caught.

"Putting the door up, that's nothing but what if the deputy didn't get here on time," said Jarvis.

It will take six weeks or more to fix the door that the burglars smashed through.

"The potential of what could of happen- that's the scary part to me."

Around 1 a.m., the alarms at the pharmacy went off and alerted police, but it was Colquitt County Sheriff's Deputies who happened to be nearby, and were able to capture one suspect.

Deputies were able to catch 24-year-old Stacey James Daniels. He is expected to be charged for the smash and grab.

According to Jarvis, the burglars didn't seem like they knew what they were looking for.

"Hopefully with the help of the community we can find this guy," said Jarvis.

Moultrie Police are looking for the man seen in surveillance video wearing a University of North Carolina sweatshirt.

Anyone with information is urged to call Moultrie Police.
