BACONTON, GA (WALB) - Strong winds from storms in South Georgia caused trees to topple, including some that smashed through an SUV and a car.
It happened just after 5 p.m. in Baconton on Hwy. 3.
Resident Rick Winfree, who took a photo of the damage, said fortunately no one was injured.
The fallen tree was just one of many reported down in the Baconton area as it was under a severe thunderstorm warning for at least 30 minutes Tuesday.
Trees were also seen down near Daniels Street, along with a sedan that was damaged by a fallen tree.
No injuries were reported at those locations.
