DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) - After a string of thefts around South Georgia, police are urging folks to protect their 4-wheelers.
Dougherty County police say you should lock up ATV's in a garage or shed if possible.
If not use a chain or other locking method and never leave the key in the vehicle.
"4-wheelers you can roll them without a key, so in some cases we've had some people roll it on to a trailer with out the key," Chad Kirkpatrick said.
Another thing owners need to remember is the serial number of the vehicle.
