Woman's name released in Albany drowning

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Dougherty County police responded to a possible drowning late Saturday night.

Emergency crews responded to the 1700 block of River Pointe Drive, around 11:20 p.m., according to Dougherty County Dispatch.

The Dougherty County Coroner Michael Fowler has confirmed that 33-year-old Kimberly Robinson was rescued from a backyard pool Saturday night.

She was transported to Phoebe Putney Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

DCP is continuing to investigate.
