ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Dizzy Dean 10 and under All Stars along with the 12 and under all stars are headed to the Dizzy Dean World Series.
Before the teams take off to Southaven, Mississippi they took time to celebrate at Harvest Moon Saturday night.
Plenty of supporters came to the fund raising event that included a special song from Bo Henry, live music throughout and a presentation of both squads.
Each of the teams are already champions and are ready to take their games to the national stage.
The 12-and-under team is battle-tested and ready for Mississippi.
"We're going in it like we're going to win it all," said 12U shortstop Jake Kinney. "We know that the teams are good. We've practiced against amazing teams and I think we got a talent to win it."
Coach Summerell of the 10-and-under team was grateful for the community support.
"You know fund raising is not always a lot of fun to it," said Mitch Summerell. "It's a lot of work. But we wanted to give something back to everybody, and we thought this was the best thing we could do. Its just been fun we had so much support from everybody so we really thank everyone for helping us get there."
Wish both teams luck as they take their talents to the national stage.
