New dog park in Albany opens its doors

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Eastside Pet Salon and the Terrell County Humane Society joined forces.

It was the grand opening for the dog park, but there was also five dogs up for adoption at the event. Folks could check out the park, plus find out more about adopting or fostering a new pet.

"The best part is that the dogs are getting out and they're running and playing.  And we're learning more about them so we can help promote them and tell people about them,"Krissy Waller.

The Terrell County Humane Society does not have a shelter so events like this helps spread the word.
