Cook High grad now serving at the tomb of the unknown solider

COLQUITT CO., GA (WALB) -

A Cook High School graduate is now serving at the tomb of the unknowns outside Washington, DC.

Preston Millison joined the Army after he graduated from Valdosta State.

He was recruited into the "Old Guard."

His sister tells us he actually volunteered to guard the tomb of the unknown solider which is extremely hard work. The training is very rigorous. He's been there since June 2014.

“Its very very tedious hard work, they do, its 26 hour shifts, its just very hard work, you do a lot of running, tests, its very tedious."

During his service at the tomb, Millison has met former U-S Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and foreign dignitaries from as far away as New Zealand.
