VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - A man and a teenager were arrested by Lowndes Co. Sheriff's investigators Thursday for manufacturing methamphetamines, on Holloway Street in Valdosta.
Sheriff Chris Prine says investigators located an active methamphetamine lab and the ingredients and materials used to manufacture methamphetamine. The resident of the home, Joseph Seago, 37 was arrested, as was Dustin Teeter, 17, who was present in the house and possessed methamphetamine. Teeter lives on Old Clyattville Road
The meth lab was dismantled and properly sealed in containers by investigators who have been specially trained in the handling of such hazardous materials and possess the specialized suits and equipment to handle these labs. Prine said these labs can be extremely harmful due to the chemicals used to produce the drugs and the chemical reactions that are possible as a result of the manufacturing process.
Joseph Seago and Dustin Teeter were taken to the Lowndes County Jail, and both will appear in the Lowndes County Magistrate Court today where a bond will be considered.
Sheriff Prine is asking anyone with information on these two people or has information on any suspicious or drug activity to contact the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office at 229-671-2950. Anonymous tips can be provided at 229-671-2985 or on line at www.lowndessheriff.com.
