THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Folks in Thomasville will get a chance to show off their creativity in a new mural downtown.

The Thomasville Center for the Arts will open an exhibit called 'Transformation' to the public Friday.

The mural will be a continuous work in progress through the end of August.

Visitors to the center on Broad Street will be able to see Robert Copper complete the mural and can even help him paint.

“I think any time you can show people that they can do something that they thought was impossible for them is a great thing,” said Copper.  “And I really enjoy doing that.  I really enjoy exposing people to talent they didn't know they had.”

The opening night reception is free to the public this Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
