ATLANTA, GA (WALB) - A man who escaped from a work detail with the Colquitt County Prison has been captured in Atlanta.
According to a report, state fugitive squad agents took Kenneth Martin Anderson into custody in the Atlanta metro area.
He was captured around 9 p.m. Tuesday night.
Anderson had been on the run since Friday, when officials said he escaped from a work detail at the West View Cemetery.
Warden Billy Howell said Anderson, who was originally from Walker County, escaped during a lunch break for the inmates.
Officials said Anderson is expected to be brought back to the Colquitt County Jail for an arraignment on new charges.
