Tennessee volunteers help clean up Albany

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

If you drove along Westover Boulevard Tuesday morning, you may have seen a group of young teens cleaning up the roadway.
The 16 middle schoolers is a church group from Woodmont Church of Christ in Nashville, Tennessee.....who are spending this week in Albany for a mission trip.
Instead of going to the beach during their summer vacation, today these 13 and 14 year olds today cut the crepe myrtles and picked up trash on Westover Boulevard.If you drove along Westover Boulevard Tuesday morning, you may have seen a group of young teens cleaning up the roadway.

Instead of going to the beach during their summer vacation,  these 13 and 14 year olds Tuesday cut the crepe myrtles and picked up trash on Westover Boulevard.Sam King said "Serve the Lord.  It's all about serving the Lord and helping people.  Put yourself before others."
The teens Tuesday worked with Keep Albany  Dougherty Beautiful, and are staying in Albany with Mission Change.
