Colquitt co. prison inmate escapes from work detail

COLQUITT CO., GA (WALB) - Multiple agencies are searching for an escaped prison inmate in Colquitt County.

Colquitt County Prison Warden Billy Howell said 24-year-old Kenneth Martin Anderson escaped from a work detail at the West View Cemetery Friday afternoon around 2 p.m.

The Warden said Anderson, originally from Walker County, escaped during the inmates' lunch break, and has not been seen since.

Anderson is described as a white male, 6-feet-tall, with a tattoo of 'Anderson' on his back and a skull and stars on his arm.

The Georgia Department of Corrections K9 Unit, The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Forces, Moultrie Police Department, Moultrie Fire Department, Colquitt County Red Cross, and Colquitt County Sheriff's Office have all assisted in the search for Anderson.
