Heat advisory in effect for southwest GA counties

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A heat advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. for parts of southwest Georgia.

The heat index will range from 105 to 110 degrees.

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures and high humidity will create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible.

Remember to drink plenty of water and to stay in an air-coniditioned room, out of the sun.

Keep your pets safe as well by providing plenty of clean, cool water and a shaded location.
