16 year old arrested for shooting cars, home in Valdosta

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Valdosta Police arrested a 16 year old on Friday and charged him with shooting two cars in the driveway of 702 Samuel St. as well as the home on July 6th.

VPD did not release the teen's name Friday.
VPD released the following information regarding the shooting:
On 7/6/2015 at 630 am, Officers responded to 702 Samuel Street in reference to subjects hearing gunshots outside their residence.  They went outside and saw that two of their vehicles in the driveway had been shot several times. 
Detectives from the Person’s Crime Unit responded to the scene.  Through investigation it was determined that the residence was also hit by a bullet, while three victims were inside the residence. 
Detectives recovered evidence on scene which led them to identification of the offender.  On 7/10/15 detectives charged a 16 African American yoa juvenile with 3 counts of aggravated assault.  The juvenile is currently being detained at RYDC on a separate shooting incident.
