Exchange club members hear from former navy seal

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Exchange club members in Albany heard war stories from a Navy Seal today.

Billy Acklin is a former member of Seal Team Six.

 He lives in North Carolina.

Acklin says technology has improved a lot since he served.

He also talked about the take down of Osama Bin Landen and says similar missions happen often in the middle east.

The only thing that was hugely different was the target was much more of a VIP, but the insertion was further inland than what you would normally have to go.

It was into Pakistan which was a different aspect of the mission,” says Bill Aklin.

He says the take down of Osama Bin Laden is what really made Seal Team Six public.

Until then, they mostly operated under the radar.
