Ashburn City Manager Dan Bollinger turned in his resignation at tonight's City Council meeting after less than a year on the job.
He says he wants to spend more time with his family.
"We want to do some traveling and I just need to spend more time with my family,” said Dan Bollinger. “Plus I do some officiating for tennis and fast pitch softball and those seasons are coming up and that would entail some time off, and it's just better that I go ahead and move on at this point."
Bollinger says he's proud of implementing a fair pay plan for city employees, fixing personnel issues, and projects including the Eureka Heights Apartments.
His last day will be July 24th.
