Police arrested a man after they said he attacked his brother with a knife.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night at a home on Troup Street.
Officials said 27-year-old Charles Holliday is charged with aggravated assault, family violence, and possession of a knife during the commission of a felony.
According to a report, Holliday got into an argument with his brother, and attacked him with a knife.
Police said Holliday and other family members didn't want Burdette to stay at the home, and the argument grew from there.
"When officers got there, they found the gentleman that was there that had been stabbed multiple times from his legs up through his torso," Captain Bobby McGraw said. "He had multiple stab wounds from a large knife that was there in the house."
Burdette was listed in serious condition in the ICU at South Georgia Medical Center.
