ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany's new city manager said she hopes to kick start projects to improve downtown.
Sharon Subadan met with the Albany Dougherty Inner City Authority board for the first time Wednesday night.
She says downtown redevelopment is one of her top goals.
Subadan said she is an implementer and looks forward to working with board to get projects moving.
"Well there are lots of ideas and there are several plans and some of the plans not everybody agrees with. I have a friend who says you can have anything, but you can't have everything. So I think we need to define what is we are going to pursue and then pursue it and try to get things implemented," said Sharon Subadan, City Manager.
Subadan said she plans to work closely with the new downtown manager to oversee development projects.
Thursday is the last day for people to apply for the downtown manager job.
The search for a replacement for interim Downtown Manager Sharlene Cannon started over last month after city leaders pulled a job offer to the previous top candidate.
