TIFTON, GA (WALB) - Police are urging citizens to lock their cars after more than 30 car break-ins in the last month.
Most of the crimes have happened north of 12th Street.
Police don't think all of them are related, but most of the cars were unlocked.
One victim says he's taking the cops' advice after his car was ransacked.
"Everything will be locked. We used to leave the house with it unlocked but no longer will that happen. We lock and deadbolt our doors at night just in case and our vehicles will be locked down," said Keith Garrett.
Police also encourage you not to leave any valuables in your car.
