CAMILLA, GA (WALB) - Mitchell County investigators believe three arrests could clear thefts in half a dozen counties.
Michael Nixon, Tiera Adams, and Willie Hightower were arrested last week on US 19 after a homeowner spotted them trying to take his four-wheeler. Investigators found items stolen from multiple places.
They're still looking for a missing Polaris ATV taken from Highway 97. The owner is offering a reward.
"Was stolen there between hopeful and Veda. It was possibly sold in the Albany area to a person. We haven't been able to track down who," said Mitchell County Sheriff's Investigator Robert Rumble.
The suspects are charged with seven thefts in Mitchell County.
They're also charged in Baker, Seminole, Dougherty, Miller, and Irwin Counties.
