Funding reallocated for RiverQuarium

The Flint RiverQuarium will get money from Dougherty County for some needed new equipment.
Monday County Commissioners approved reallocating SPLOST money so the RiverQuarium can purchase a chiller immediately.

The facility depends on two chillers, which cost about $170,000 each, to regulate the climate for visitors and the blue hole.
A temporary chiller was activated after one failed. The RiverQuarium plans to raise money to buy the second chiller.
