Albany Downtown officials say the Fourth of July festivities were a hit.
"It was a fabulous weekend for downtown Albany," Kristen Caso said. .
July 4th festivities were back in the downtown area, and city officials are happy with how things turned out.
"Oh we're so pleased we had such a great turn out and the weather turned out to be perfect. ," Kristen Caso said.
Event Coordinator Kristen Caso says from start to finish, everything went well.Not even rain could stop the fireworks show.
"We had to go about 15 minutes early because we were looking at the radar watch and the storm was coming," says Dale Henry said.
Fireworks Coordinator Dale Henry say they're used to dealing with weather issues.
"It was a massive show it really was," Dale Henry said.
Caso says lots of people were glad to see the show downtown again. .
"The reaction from everyone I talked to is that they were just so happy to see fireworks in Downtown Albany again," Kristen Caso said.
Caso says city officials will meet to talk about everything and start planning for next year's big celebration.
