LEE CO., GA (WALB) - Lee county firefighters are working to control remaining flames and smoke after a house caught on fire this afternoon.
Firefighters responded to a home at 100 block of East Westerlee Drive around 1:15 p.m.
Officials said lightning struck the house, causing irreparable damage to the back of the home.
All five residents and their pets were able to get out of the home safely.
