WORTH CO., GA (WALB) - The Worth County Sheriff urges ATV owners to lock up their vehicles after a string of thefts.
The office is investigating several Polaris Ranger thefts mostly in the east part of the County over the last year.
Sheriff Jeff Hobby said the thieves are targeting ATV's that are less than a year old.
He encourages people to be on the lookout for suspicious vehicles and said owners need to keep track of their ATV identification number.
"Serial numbers of their guns or any kind of merchandise they have. Keep your serial numbers; keep all that in a safe place. That way you got easy access to it and it helps us enter it in our GCIC database and our other databases," said Jeff Hobby Worth County Sheriff.
Sheriff Hobby says only one of the stolen ATV's has been recovered.
It was for sale on Craigslist in Atlanta.
