Two arrested in Crisp Co. burglary

CORDELE, GA (WALB) - The Crisp County Sheriff's Office was staking out a Cordele business, and caught two men in the act of hauling off 400 pounds of the company's merchandise.

Ricky Jackson, 43, of Pitts. and Antonio McCloud, 29, of Ashburn were caught driving away from MBM Corporation, a wholesale food company, off Kelly Road in Cordele.

The Crisp County Sheriff's Office Investigation Division has been investigating thefts over the course of several weeks, and Jackson and McCloud are being charged with three previous burglaries and the burglary last night for a total of four counts each.

Investigators had used information learned in previous weeks to narrow down the expected time of the event last night. Sheriff Billy Hancock said that Sergeant Rodgers and the investigative Division, along with Major Smith, were integral to the arrests.

The investigation continues into others who may have purchased from these men.
