Wild chase goes through RV park

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - A man and a woman are out of jail on bond, after officers say they led drug agents on a short chase through an RV park.

Thomas County agents arrived at the City of Roses RV Park after receiving a tip that someone was selling illegal drugs.

They say that's when 29-year-old Michael Ansley saw the agents' cars and sped off in his car with 22-year-old Chelsey Andrews in the passenger's seat.

During the short chase, Ansley hit a patrol car, tried to run, but was eventually caught.

"He was apprehended. We found a quantity of marijuana in the console, we also found what we believed to be ice in the floor board," said County Narcotics Commander Kevin Lee Thomas.

Both are facing drug possession charges with intent to distribute. Ansley is also charged with aggravated assault on a police officer and felony obstruction.
