Woman wanted on false arson charge

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Dougherty County Police are looking for a woman charged with trying to pin an arson charge on her boyfriend.

23-year-old Jaomie Duncanson is charged with arson, felony domestic violence, and making false statements.

In May Duncanson reported her boyfriend broke into her home at 1400 South Mock Road, and set her clothes on fire.

Investigators say they learned her story wasn't true when they arrested Taylor yesterday.

"Since his arrest as of yesterday, we have developed new information from the so called victim. Who has recanted her statement and advised that she burned his clothes, instead of him burning her clothes," said Dougherty Co. Police Lt. Chad Kirkpatrick.

Taylor is in the Dougherty County Jail, charged with domestic violence and criminal trespass for breaking the windows at Duncanson's home.
