LEE CO., GA (WALB) -

Justice is finally served for a Lee County family after the man on retrial for murdering an elderly man will serve the rest of his life behind bars.

"The Mosley family has gotten some justice after 7 and a half years and two trials and I am pleased for them,” said Lewis Lamb, Chief Assistant District Attorney for Southwestern Circuit.

This evening a jury found Timothy French guilty on all counts for the murder of 82-year-old A-J Mosley.

French was found guilty of malice murder, felony murder and armed robbery.

The jury's verdict comes after another jury failed to reach a verdict in a May trial.

French was charged with stabbing 82-year-old A.J. Mosley inside his Smithville home during a robbery in 2008.

"It's been a very long time coming,” said Lamb. “The investigation itself spanned until 2014 before we had enough to proceed on the case."

The Judge sentenced French today to life without the possibility of parole.
