ALBANY, GA (WALB) - There's some new faces at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Five recent medical school graduates are doing their residency at the hospital through Southwest Georgia Family Medicine in Albany.
The hospital introduced them this afternoon in the Wetherbee Lobby on the hospital's main campus.
One of the doctor's says he's excited to be in Albany and ready to get to work.
"I think becoming the best physician I can possibly be that I can give back to the community. I'm looking forward to the training and the sleepless nights. Ya know, the growth process," said Gary Glay, M.D., new resident physician.
The doctors were presented with the traditional white lab coat and pager and they received welcome gifts from various businesses through the Albany Chamber of Commerce.
