THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - One man is behind bars in Thomasville after a homeowner's deer camera caught him stealing a weed eater from a tool shed.

Frank Young Jr., 58, is charged with burglary and probation violation.

The homeowner discovered his weed eater was missing when he came home from vacation.

A surveillance camera captured the theft on Dawson Street.

Police said the photos helped them easily identify Young.

Detective Scott Newberry said, “It gives us a date and time of exactly what happened. You can see in the photos that he's looking right at the camera and doesn't see it.”

Police have not recovered the weed eater, but the homeowner said it was broken anyway.
