WALB supports food drive

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - WALB is partnering with area auto dealers to help fill our local food banks. All food will be distributed to local food banks.

Dealers will be accepting non -perishable food donations June 25-27th. (Thursday, Friday, & Saturday). Look for the WALB Food Drive Sign at each dealer location.

Second Harvest of South Georgia says that food insecurity affects the most vulnerable, including nearly a third of all children in our area. Overall food insecurity across the United States ranges from a low of 4% to 33% in some parts of the country. The organization says 26% of people do not have a stable source of food, including 33.9% of the district's children.
