THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -  A former minister at a Thomasville church will spend three years in prison after pleading guilty to having sex with a 15-year-old girl.

Kevin Harrison Jr., 36,  was charged with child molestation and statutory rape in April of 2014.

He had sex with the teen while he was a minister at The Life, Power, and Praise Church.

The church now has a new pastor and administration and has changed its name to Mount Sinai Apostolic Church.

Church member Sherrie Calloway said, “I'm hoping that we heal as a community and that, as a church family, we continue to grow.”

Harrison must also serve 12 years on probation when he gets out of prison.
