ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany's downtown Art Park gets a helping hand for some much needed improvements.
Over the weekend, workers with PCL the construction company that are building the new Broad Avenue Bridge volunteered their time to remove a brick wall from the Art Park that was deemed unsafe.
Interim Downtown Manager Sharlene Cannon told us she's grateful for the help.
She hopes to start over with more major improvements.
Volunteers with Keep Albany Dougherty Beautiful plan to repaint the floors and walls.
