Man arrested in Colquitt murder case

COLQUITT, GA (WALB) - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has made one arrest in the case of a man who was shot to death over the weekend.

Ralph Rogers, 47, of Colquitt was arrested at the scene and was charged with murder and 2 counts of aggravated assault.

He was taken to the Miller County Jail.

Investigators said Rogers shot and killed 30-year-old Lamaris Miller, and also shot 18-year-old Damien Lee and Levontia Burr.

Lee and Burr survived, and were taken to the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama.

"Exactly what the argument was about is kind of in question right now. We know there was some type of disagreement and it led to the violence," said Steve Turner, GBI Special Agent In Charge.

18 year old Damien Lee of Colquitt and Levontia Burr of Leesburg remain hospitalized in Dothan. We are still efforting an update on their conditions.
