ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany State Marching Rams are headed to the Rose bowl... and they need your help to get there.

They will be the only college band, other than the two teams who will play in the Rose Bowl, that will march in the Tournament of Roses parade in January.

The marching Rams plan to send nearly 150 marching band members to Pasadena. This will cost the university nearly 250-thousand dollars.

"The city of Albany and this region and the entire state of Georgia is going to be represented in Pasadena California on an international stage," said the VP of institutional advancement Chanta Haywood. "Millions of viewers around the world will be watching us."
