ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Dozens of Dougherty county leaders honor a retiring magistrate court judge.
Judge Robert Revell's last day will be this Sunday after more than 20 years on the bench.
Judge Revell said the people are what he'll miss most.
"Being a magistrate in Dougherty County is a great privilege and its a responsibility. It requires one to administer the law to all of the citizens in dougherty county in civil as well as criminal proceedings," said Judge Rovert Revell, Dougherty County Magistrate Judge.
Superior Court Judge Willie Lockette, Dougherty County Sheriff Kevin Sproul, and District Attorney Greg Edwards were just a few of the leaders at a retirement celebration late Thursday afternoon.
