Albany business owner frustrated with city codes after $250 fine

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany business owner is frustrated with city codes after he was fined for having a sky dancer.

Kevin Loubier said this machine was flying about 40 feet from Slyvester Road this morning at Southern Mobile Homes.

Code enforcers told him the movements are a distraction for drivers and fined him $250.

His business is the last one on Sylvester Road in the city limits.

“You know I told them, I said I'm trying to keep my business afloat and all they care about is the money buck up there at the city hall, and the city is wrong,” said Kevin Loubier Southern Mobile Homes.

The city attorney said a business can pay for a permit to use the machines but only for a certain number of days a year.
