Truck and tools stolen from South Georgia farm

Someone stole a truck and tools from a large Lee County farm overnight.

Wednesday workers at the Oak Hill Dairy shop on Hall Road discovered a 1996 Ford F-350 work truck full of tools was missing.   The thief also stole gasoline and other equipment including a welder, drill and grinder.

Sheriff's Investigators say break ins at farms are unusual.

Lee County Sheriff's Office Major Keith Houston said "We've had a few, not that many. Lot of people going up on the farms. And most of what we are finding keeps being gas and fuel taken.  Being taken away from a lot of the farms."

In all the loss is estimated at about $8000.
