ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Stockholders at both Albany-based Heritage Bank and Renasant Bank of Tupelo Mississippi have approved the merger that was announced back in December.
The merger has already been approved by Federal Reserve and Federal Deposit Corporation.
Heather Nichols says the merger is between two banks that are very much alike.
"So, our customers can anticipate having the same bankers they have been working with. Those will not change the same faces. You will still work with the same tellers."
The merger is scheduled to be completed by July 1st and Heritage anticipates switching to Renasant's system in late August.
