Ocilla shooting suspect turns himself in


Ocilla Chief of Police Billy Hancock tells WALB the suspect in a Tuesday night shooting has turned himself in. 

Antonio Bivens, 36, surrendered to police Wednesday around 2:00 A.M. He is in custody with police and is expected to have a first appearance today in Irwin County.

Bivens is a suspect in a shooting that injured one man near the 900 block of North Carver Street in Ocilla before 8:00 P.M.

The victim, Caitlin Wynn, 30, was taken to Medical Center-Central Georgia Hospital in Macon after suffering multiple gunshot wounds. WALB's Nicole Rosales spoke with Wynn, he says he has to undergo surgery, a metal plate is expected to be inserted into his hand.

Wynn says he hopes to be released within the next couple of days.
