LEESBURG, GA (WALB) - Registration has started for patients wishing to receive medical marijuana in Georgia.
Lee County's Traci Henry was one of the first to register this morning for a card for her son Chance who has seizures every day.
All applications must be approved by a doctor who will submit them to the state.
Those whose applications are approved will be allowed to possess 20 ounces of THC oil."It should take approximately two weeks and it will cost a fee of $25 to get a copy of the record. Just like you would do if you had to go to a courthouse for a marriage license." said Traci Henry.
Haileigh's Law allows for people who are suffering from eight medical conditions to possess THC oil.
