High schoolers can learn about early enrollment at Albany Tech

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Technical will hold a “Move On When Ready” Parent Forum at 5:30 this evening in the Logistics Education Center Auditorium, off South Slappey Boulevard.

The forum will explain recent changes to dual enrollment in the state of Georgia due to House Bill Two.

The new “Move On When Ready” (MOWR) Dual Enrollment program combines the older Accel, HOPE Grant Dual Enrollment, and the previous MOWR Program, into one.

Through the new MOWR, high school students may enroll at the college if they meet the admissions requirements. There is no cost and the time spent at the college will not count against the student's Georgia HOPE cap, as long as they are dually enrolled while in high school.

Tuesday evening's forum will allow parents and students to learn more about all the benefits through the new MOWR. Admissions and financial aid representatives will be on hand to answer any questions at the end of the evening.
