Flag Day celebrated in Albany

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Across the nation people are celebrating our nation's flag.

WALB News 10 went around the good life city and asked people what does the flag means to you.

We even asked a few youngsters what they thought of the flag.

“Red White and Blue,” said Sophia Wilson.

“Like a symbol of our peace and freedom,” said Gabrielle Wilson.

“It means to me like a symbol of our freedom that was fought to be here,” said Stephanie Bryant.

The original flag was adopted on this day in 1777. The flag we see today was adopted on July 4th,1960.
