TERRELL CO., GA (WALB) - The Terrell County Branch of the NAACP hosted their Annual Freedom Fund Banquet on Saturday at the County High School.
Helen Butler with the "Coalition for the People's Agenda" was the guest speaker.
She talked about the importance of staying involved and working for change.
Tonight the NAACP also presented some high school grads with scholarships.
Butler says its important to make sure young people get educated.
“It will be so wonderful to talk about educating the future because the future depends on the importance of our young people being educated," says Helen Butler, with the Coalition for the People's Agenda.
The NAACP has been in existence since 1909.
