Injured transportation workers try to recover

MACON, GA (WALB) - We now know the condition of one of the workers injured on Interstate 75. Michael Brooks is in stable but serious condition at Navicent Health in Macon.

We are still trying to find out the condition of Arthur Jordan, the other construction worker who was injured during the accident.

G-DOT officials say summer time is when the most road construction work goes on.

They ask for people to be cautious of road workers.

"Even when workers are not present we ask them to be mindful of any signs or barrels or cones directing motorist in a path that they may not be accustomed to," said G-DOT District Engineer Scott Chamber.

This is peak time for road construction because it's easier to work longer on projects during the summer.
