BOSTON, GA (WALB) - Boston City Hall confirms to WALB's Catherine Patterson that the only person who had been working in their city police department has been suspended, until his final termination.
For a little over a week, Police Chief Andre Williams was the only person working in the department, after the other officers quit.
City officials would not give a reason for Williams' termination, who is suspended until June 21st, when his employment ends.
Officer Timothy Roberts had been hired by the city as a police officer, and today was his first day.
The Thomas County Sheriff's Office will continue to provide additional coverage to the Boston area.
