ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Dougherty County Health Department Officials say this empty waiting room should be filled with parents and children for back to school vaccinations.
They say most parents wait until much closer to the first day of school.
They say it's best to come now before their waiting rooms are filled to capacity.
"People do get impatient," said Beverly Reid, Immunization Supervisor. "Parents they may get a little frustrated. Children they are tired. So if we could kind of avoid that, oh now is the time. Because as you can see we are empty."
The Dougherty County Health Department is open Monday through Friday from 8 to 5.
Parents must bring an ID and Insurance Card.
Students entering Kindergarten need a Hearing, Vision, Dental, Nutritional Screening.
School age children need all of their childhood shots.
Middle School children need a TDAP and Meningococcal vaccine.
College students need a Meningitis, Chicken Pox, TDAP and Hepatitis B vaccine.
