ALBANY, GA (WALB) - We aren't getting straight answers from Albany city leaders about problems trying to hire a new downtown manager.
We want to know why they didn't publicize an offer made to Michael Syphoe.
We also want to know why they put that offer on hold after an in-depth background check. And whether the city is getting back $3,000 sent to Syphoe for moving expense or where the search stands at this point.
Interim City Manager Phil Roberson told us Monday he can't comment because it's an ongoing personnel matter.
There also wasn't a response from City Attorney Nathan Davis.
