CORDELE, GA (WALB) - Lots of fun activities for families tonight in downtown Cordele.
The city hosted its first Friday event with "disco night" inside.
That followed a scavenger hunt outside.
Organizers want to draw families downtown and let everyone it's a safe place to visit.
“We are just trying to get our local residents coming downtown again and seeing what all we have to offer,” says Monica Mitchell.
They also held a drawing for a flat screen TV.
There will be all sorts of community events in Cordele over the next month as part of the annual Watermelon Festival.
